directed by Denis Donnelly
Soundings is a vibrant and intimate auditioned 26-voice ensemble that delights its audiences with a highly eclectic mix of vocal choral music, from Medieval through to contemporary works, most of which is performed a capella and off-book. We take pride in presenting tightly rehearsed programs and creating a strong connection with our audiences. Concerts are always an entertaining and enchanting journey through the world of choral music.
Soundings presents two concert series per year, in May and December, and is in its 17th season under the direction of its founder, Denis Donnelly.
Soundings celebrates the Season with its usually sold-out December concerts with music Ancient and Contemporary. We will sing music from 16th C. Spain, folk carols from France and England, and balance them with up-dated arrangements of familiar Christmas songs, including two songs from the fine contemporary group Pentatonix. A wonderful musical tradition to begin your own Festive Season!
